We make society work for people on the road, on tracks, in the air, and at sea.
That’s why we need the best expertise. Our mission is important and has significance in everyday life – both for individuals and businesses. With us, we take responsibility, treat everyone well, and respect differences. As an employee, you contribute to a sustainable future.
About the job
As an Onsite Systems Technician at the Swedish Transport Agency, you will have a varied and meaningful everyday life where you are a key person in making the authority's digital workplace function – every day.
Your role combines technology, service, and collaboration. One day, you prepare and deliver new computers so that a colleague can have a smooth start in their work. Shortly thereafter, you might be in a conference room troubleshooting equipment to ensure that an important meeting can proceed without technical obstacles.
The work is both operational and planned. It may involve traveling to one of our other offices to collaborate with an external supplier regarding multi-printers, while also ensuring that workplaces function optimally. During organizational changes, for example when a unit moves within the premises, you work together with colleagues to quickly and systematically set up fully functioning workplaces.
A large part of your day-to-day work also consists of handling ongoing cases and providing support via phone or directly on-site. We are close to the business – and it shows. Our presence creates security, accessibility, and high service.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our systems and services through close collaboration with the section's system administrators. Here, you are not just part of operations – you are involved in developing the digital workplace of the future.
We belong to the Digital Workplace section based in Örebro. Our mission is to ensure that the authority's employees have functioning and modern work tools – such as computers, software, phones, subscriptions, and conference equipment.
We are divided into geographical areas of responsibility at four offices and will become eight people in the group. In total, the section will consist of about 30 employees. With us, you become part of an engaged team that collaborates closely, shares knowledge, and supports each other.
Here, you get to combine technical expertise with a sense of service – in a socially important operation where your contribution makes a difference every day.
You will
- work from our office in Örebro for your daily tasks
- be the local support for the services that the digital workplace delivers for users at the locations
- travel according to a predetermined plan with up to 30 days/year, usually one to three days in a row to the offices the authority has in other locations
- receive an in-depth introduction/training in the position as Onsite Systems Technician.
You must have
- a completed upper secondary education in IT or equivalent knowledge that we assess as comparable
- at least two years of work experience as an onsite systems technician, IT support, or similar (internships related to education do not count as work experience)
- experience in troubleshooting PC issues
- experience in troubleshooting mobile phones
- experience working with installations of equipment such as conference technology and workplaces
- experience working with support for Windows and the Office suite in a corporate environment
- experience handling hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, etc.)
- the ability to communicate fluently in speech and writing in Swedish
- a valid driver's license (B).
It is advantageous if you also have
- experience in lifecycle management of hardware, such as computers and mobile devices in a corporate environment.
We want you to
- take responsibility for your tasks, structure your approach, and drive your processes forward
- be calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, have interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and strive to deliver solutions
- have good collaboration skills, work well with others, relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner, listen, communicate, and be a good colleague
- have a high security awareness.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
